Milenge Milenge Plot

Milenge Milenge is a tale of love and fate connecting Priya (played by Kareena Kapoor) who is a student and an junior choreographer in Mumbai and Amit (played by Shahid Kapoor) who stays in Delhi.

Priya is an orphan and she looks forward to have a family of her own and she maintains a diary describing about her dreams and she also keeps mentioning what kind of life partner she wants in her life. She wants someone who does not consume alcohol, who doesn't smoke and who doesn't tell lies. She becomes cynical when a tarot reader, Sunita Rao, makes prophesy about her  that  in near future she would go to South Africa where she would get find the love of her life in 7 days. Priya is pleasingly surprised when Sunita Rao's prophesy comes partially  true very soon and selectors select her to attend a Youth Festival in South Africa for which she has to leave for South Africa.

Amit is a young man who leaves in Delhi. He too goes to South Africa and Priya finds everything in him what she coveted for in her life partner. Due to some circumstances, Amit and his friend enter into the girl's dormitory. As a result it, the matron of the dormitory chases them which lead Amit to get into Priya's room where he is charmed to see her beauty. Suddenly an idea hits him which inspires him to steal her diary. Hence Amit steals her diary and after making its copy he keeps the original from where he had picked.

From the diary Amit comes to know what Priya wanted. Thus he follows her and eventually both of them are head over heels in love with each other. But a time comes when Priya comes to know that Amit had stolen his diary; had read everything in it then pretended to be the man of her choice. Knowing this truth she is shocked. She can't bear the bitter truth that Amit had told lie to her. Thus she breaks her relationship with Amit. He tries to clarify his position but Priya puts a deaf ear to him. Amit tells her that he did nothing; their fate brought them together but she is not ready to forgive him.

However, Priya makes a decision to check their fate and asks Amit to write down his full name on a 50 rupee note. Thereafter she purchases notebook with it. She herself also writes her full name and phone number in the notebook and hands it to an old book shop. She tells him that if fate really wanted them to be together then they would surely find the note and the book again and also find each other.

3 years later Priya and Amit are betrothed to wed different people.

Would the 50 rupee note and that notebook do some miracles in their lives so that they have to break their fixed marriage with someone else and both of them get married to each other? Or fate has some other plan for them? These answers can be seen in the movie MILENGE MILENGE.
