    Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin Plot

    Durga is an outspoken, mischievous and daring village girl. She marries Inspector Ajay (Akshay) and they settle down in the city. Now Durga loves to know everything about everybody, and makes it a point to keep herself updated about the people in the basti; and, for this purpose, she befriends a woman (Jayshree T) who runs a paan-bedi shop near her house. Ajay is an honest and brave cop who has regular encounters with gangsters working for the comic don, Bhairav (Anupam Kher). His senior DSP, Chorasia (Kiran Kumar) is a corrupt officer who is in cahoots with Bhairav and his assistant, Chitra Gupta (Johny Lever). One day, to prevent a rape, Durga fights Bhairav's goons and ends up destroying one of his liquor bars. Then, to save another girl from prostitution, she destroys a kotha belonging to Bhairav.
