Love, Sex Aur Dhoka Plot

Love Sex Aur Dhoka is a bold film produced by ALT Entertainment, Priya Sreedharan, Puneet Kinra & Vikram Malhotra and its co-produces are Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.

Moreover this film is known as Dibaker Banergee's film who earlier directed two well known films like Khosla Ka Ghosla & Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!

Love Sex Aur Dhoka is different from Dibaker Banegjee's earlier both films.

There are three sub stories revolving in the film about three different persons who are not linked to each other except the common character: a hidden camera. Yes! A hidden camera or say spy camera plays an important character in this film. This is the first time this director has experimented this in Hindi Cinema.

The director has tried to point out that no one's privacy is safe in today's world after the introduction of different hi- fi gadgets and tiny spy cameras. Some days or some months back a host of Pune hostel-lodge was arrested because he had hidden camera in the bathroom of the girls who took rooms in his lodge. The old man used to capture the nude videos of the girls bathing or urinating and used to watch them on his computer and used to sell them to some internet sites. Similarly, some shopkeepers were caught because they used to hide cameras in their dressing rooms and when ladies went inside the dressing rooms to check the dresses which they wanted to buy, the cameras would capture their nude or half nude photos & videos. Some air services are not totally safe from this point of view. It was in news that someone had hidden camera in the toilet of air buses and used to make stills and videos of the lady passengers.

The director tries to tell you this that your privacy may be invaded anywhere, anytime. The characters of this film have tried to use hidden cameras to fulfill their purposes in negative manner. Some days back Mahsh Bhatt too had made a film on sting operation which was done in a different way. So this film may not be new to them who have watched Mahesh Bhatt's film.

As I told you earlier, there are three different stories running in this single film. First story is about a student Rahul, who is a student of a film institute and is acquiring his diploma in film making. After completing his diploma, Rahul starts filming a love story which leads him to fall in love with his film's heroine, Shruti. But knowing the realities of life and problems in their marriage from the families of both, they flee from their town and eventually get married and look forward for a happy future.

Second story is about Adarsh who supplies security system to his clients. In this process he installs cameras as security in a departmental store (upcoming). But his financial condition is not good hence he wants to earn money through some other easy means. In the process to earn money he hits upon an idea to make porn films through the cameras he supplies. Rashmi works in that department store. Adarsh wants to use Rashmi nude body for his easy income. He starts to woo Rashmi in order to execute his plan. Rashmi is a plain, dark and quiet salesgirl in whom, he is not so much interested except making her porn film. But one day everything changes when, during a shootout, she saves someone's life and that day for the first time Adarsh's impression towards her changes and discovers a woman in her.

Third story is about a journalist Prabhat, who used to do sting operation. His married life is very bad and now going through a divorce, and to add to his troubles, he is about to be fired from his job which leads him to end his life out of frustration and distress. He has tried to commit suicide many times but has failed. There is another lady named as Naina whose story is similar to Prabhat and who too tries to kill herself. She has been betrayed and exploited by Loki local. He is a hi-hop star and had promised her a music video for which he had even made her sleep with him. But he betrayed her and gave the chance to someone else. Prabhat and Naina get together, to do a sting operation on Loki Local.

As I told you earlier, the first story will remind you real life incidents which remained in news till date for their heart-rending ending.

Regarding the second story, many girls are being made victim of MMS and to the greatest surprise, the MMS makers are none other than their boyfriends. You might have come across different news where boyfriends had MMSed nude clips of their girlfriends.

The third story which is a sting operation by Adarsh and Naina also happen in reality. Not all, but most of people from film industry use girls in exchange of giving roles. Believe it or not, this system exists not only in film industry but many professions. Few years back a professor used to exploit his girl student in exchange of passing her in examination. Also some doctors used junior lady doctors to promote them. Even in defense, many women have reported against her seniors who tried to or who used their body in exchange of giving something. So you see that this system prevails in almost all walks of society. You can't even spare saints and priests. So many rape and exploitation cases by priests and saints come in news every now and then.

This film also tries to expose the exploitation of journalist who, are compelled to go behind entertaining news instead of factual news.

Direcor Dibaker has chosen a different subject this time and is trying to experiment many things at a time such as making camera a character and shooting the film on digital format.

In narration, there is only title track as a single song which can be heard on radios and tv promos.

The producers and director have taken mostly new faces because, according to them, new faces were the requirement of the story. The casts are Anshuman Jha (as Rahul), Shruti (as Shruti), Rajkummar Rao (as Adarsh), Neha Chauhan (as Rashmi), Amit Sial (as Prabhat), Arya Devdutta (as Naina) and Herry Tangri (as Loki Local) etc.

Nikos Andritsakis, the cameraman, has done excellent job and gives you the feeling as if the scenes have been shot on handycam. Underwater cameras, securities cameras have done excellent job.

According to the makers, Love Sex Aur Dhoka is a provoking film which will make you think what's going on these days and how you can be the victim of hidden camera.

This is a low budget film and has been made for approximately Rs.1.5cr. It is really surprising to make a film of so low budget in today's date where others are making films of 30-40 or 100 crores.

Ekta Kapoor's film Love Sex Aur Dhoka brings in front of you the changing face of Bollywood films.

There are some 'hot' sequences which are said to be the most shocking scene to be ever filmed in a commercial Hindi film. Sources say that before this film, no two protagonists of the film have ever stripped down completely and indulged in the 'act'. The film-makers state that these nude scenes were required in the script and nothing is forced. Well! You can find out its truth only after watching the film.

The technicians of this film are they who won Film-fare award earlier. They are writer Manu Rishi, Musician Sneha Khanwalkar etc.

You are going to get shocks to see bold scenes in this film. According to Ekta, they haven't put nudity in the film to titillate the front liners but it was required by the script.

However I don't think that people will go to watch this film with family. In metros some families can do it but not all over the country. Of course, major parts of gents would like watching the film alone.

The film is set to release on 19th March, 2010 and within the country only. Ekta is not releasing this film overseas because she thinks she will not get audience for this film there. But things may change after the release.
