Without a doubt, Bollywood actress Vidya Malavade is one of the most adored and admired actresses in the industry. Over the years, we have seen her create some exquisite roles that have won over fans' hearts. Vidya Malavade is set to appear in the Sony Liv series Dr. Arora, which stars Kumud Mishra.
Vidya exclusively sat with BollywoodMDB for an interview ahead of the show’s premiere. Spilling beans on her character in Dr. Arora, the actress said, “I felt like my character was like an onion when I read the script. There are several layers to it that you may be able to feel. Of course, due to an intimate reason, she left her husband but she has been carrying that guilt and emotions for 17 years. The way it has been filmed, there is something mysterious about her. There is some kind of delicateness and fragility about her.”
She further opened up on one of her most unforgettable characters Vidya Sharma in Chak De! India (2007). When asked about her experience working on the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Malavade said, “I think I have blessings of Lord Mahadev with me that’s why I landed a role in Chak De! India. I feel fortunate that people still remember this character and this film. When the film was released, we weren’t expecting people to give it so much love!”
Speaking of her popularity on social media, the 49-year-old added, “No one knew I did Yoga, thanks to social media people are getting to know about it and getting inspired by it. And definitely if there are good comments, there will also be bad comments but you shouldn't let it affect you. You take the good with the bad but take it with a pinch of salt. Whatever it is.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Arora premiered on Sony LIV on 22nd July.
