Preeti Jhangiani had a successful start to her acting career with hits in the south, and of course, Mohabbatein, her Hindi debut, was a smash hit. Preeti, who has appeared in a number of movies throughout the years, is currently portraying a different character: a businesswoman. Preeti is presently managing a sports league with her husband, actor Parvin Dabas. In a recent interview with Bollywoodmdb, the actress gave updates on her league and recalled celebrating Independence as a kid.

Preeti who is the co-founder of the Pro Panja League spoke about the sport saying, “The Pro Panja League which we have founded is like a baby to us. Our country has so much talent that people will feel proud to hear their stories and watch their passion. So, this is like an opportunity for this sport to make a place for itself throughout the country and the world too.” As the 75th Independence Day is approaching, we asked her if she had any childhood or school memory, to which she replied, “I remember, during our childhood we never used to miss it, there is a sense of pride you feel when you see the tri-color flag. Our country is ahead and doing great in everything and every field.”

The actress was further asked about her opinion on trolls and whether she has felt low or faced mental depression at any phase of her life. “Everyone gets trolled and I get trolled on every picture of mine. I ignored the trolls then and I continue to do so.” Further, she spoke about depression, “No one can tell you know that I have always been happy or never felt sad. Everyone is sad or going through something. But there is a term called clinical depression which should be spoken out like any other normal illness. It is important you know to uplift people around you and this is still not happening. I think this is a change I want to see.”

I will definitely appear on the screens. I am doing an OTT film which is called Mahapaur. In the film, I play the role of Mayor which is very different and grey to me. So, it will be very exciting for the audience to watch it.”

Mahapaur is a tale of politics and bureaucracy intertwined with serious environmental problems. And given all the preparations Preeti is making, seeing her in this avatar would undoubtedly be a delight.
