Bollywoodmdb Exclusive! Amika Shail talks about her new song Dhokha sung by Salman Ali; also shared her opinion on the current boycott culture

Amika Shail is an Indian actress who previously performed as a singer in Hindi films. She quickly rose to stardom because of a variety of roles, particularly Vayu Pari in Balveer Returns. She appeared in the web serial Mirzapur as well. The actress has now featured in a new heartbreak single sung by Indian Idol winner Salman Ali. In an exclusive interview with Bollywoodmdb, Amika spoke about her new single, relationships, and the recent trend of boycott culture.

Speaking about her music video Dhokha, the actress said, “Dhokha is sung by none other than Salman Ali and he has an absolutely amazing voice. The song is basically a Sufi song and is shot well. The storyboard is amazing like there is a love triangle and cheating that is shown in the video, and I have always been fond of the love triangle concept since my childhood so I absolutely had fun shooting the video.” When asked about her love life, she added, “I am at such an age now where relationships are like a normal thing. Since I have got this feeling, I have been into many relationships and have had heartbreaks and cheating has also happened.”

Currently, Bollywood films have been facing a lot of boycotts and cancelations from the audience, we asked Amika about her opinion on this issue. “Just because the entertainment industry is an industry which is easily available to people, our personal life and professional life is never personal to us. It’s always in the open and public, which is why people easily judge us. Judging is normal for everyone and if say good they’ll judge if we say bad they’ll judge, but sometimes if it comes out too bad then they will boycott our films.”

“When a film is made, it takes around a year to make a film, so many people are involved in the film, everyone’s hard work and time is invested in the film. And It takes just a minute for the audience to judge celebrities and you know then boycott or protest against the film. People don’t see the hard work and simply create a buzz.”

The actress who is multi-talented and has been successful in everything she does was asked if she would ever like to join politics. She said she would definitely give it a try but now right now. Amika and television hottie Gaurav Sareen are both featured in the video Dhokha, which was choreographed and directed by Vijay Verma. The actress previously disclosed that she has been offered two-three South projects, but nothing was yet confirmed.
