In an interview with Bollywoodmdb, Aksha Pardasany
discussing her upcoming film shubh nikkah, she said, “If you read the title of the movie ‘Shubh Nikkah’, it’s understandable that it’s about a Hindu-Muslim love story, a girl who’s Muslim and a boy who’s Hindu. The song lies in between the movie where the couple start adapting to each other’s culture.”
When asked about how she felt while shooting for the movie in Rishikesh, she responded, “When I came to know that we are shooting in Uttarakhand, I was overjoyed. I love mountains and winter too, so it was amazing. Everything about the place was beautiful, the weather, and people were so caring, loving and welcoming. After the shoots were over, I didn’t want to come back.”
Aksha also played a lead role of a cop in the netflix series Jamtara, when asked if her role was a dream role or the dream role is yet to come, she replied, “Jamtara was definitely a milestone project for me because I played a role which I never thought I would be playing. And for me Jamtara was a career defining project, and I also think that after Jamtara people have started to know me. So I want to achieve such milestones in the future too, I always want to do something better and better in life. If I start to think that I got my dream role after every project then I think my career will fall off! I want to play roles which excite me and create many milestones ahead.”
“Whichever role or project I get, if that project touches my heart and if my heart tells me to do it, I’ve always done that role. I never calculated if the project is big, it’s with someone superstar or director who is very successful. I always thought before signing that, ‘Would I love to watch this film?’ Or ‘Do I want to play this role?’ I’ve also moved forward with my instincts. I hope Shubh Nikkah will be a successful one and the audience will love it.” Aksha is playing a role of a Muslim girl in Shubh Nikkah, when asked about how she thought of performing this role.
Pathaan is breaking records, Aksha shared her views on Shah Rukh Khan’s film, “ I am a Shah Rukh Khan fan. I feel after Covid people were too scared to come out, they also got the contents in just 500, however now they had to pay 500 for one ticket, so I think after Covid it was a drop for Bollywood movies. But I feel big screens are big screens, earlier movies on big screens were to die for. And since Shah Rukh Khan appeared on the Big screen after 4 years, Pathaan has brought the theatre culture back and audiences loved his movies. I feel audiences should often go to the theatres. I am very happy that people have loved it and I hope Shubh Nikkah receives the same love.”
