The cause of Aaron Carter's death, which occurred over five months ago, was revealed in his autopsy report. The singer, 34, is the brother of 'Backstreet Boys' member Nick Carter. According to sources, Carter drowned as a result of the effects of difluoroethane and Alprazolam.

Difluoroethane is a compressed gas, and Carter was candid about his addiction to huffing, sometimes known as 'dusting'. Alprazolam, the generic name for the prescription medication Xanax, is used to alleviate anxiety.

The findings, according to Aaron Carter's ex-fiancee and the mother of his young child are not a closure to her.

Melanie Martin said, "It claims death by drowning but also adds he was wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub, which doesn't make sense, why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on? I'm still in shock, and I think about Aaron every day. I don't understand the sequence of events, and this report has simply raised additional questions."

Carter's mother, Jane, published gruesome images from the scene of his death in March, seemingly questioning how he died.

"Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter," she stated on social media. "I'm sharing these death scene photos with you because the coroner ruled it an accidental drug overdose." Because of his drug history, they never probed it as a possible murder scene."

Carter went to rehab several times and worked hard to get sober for his son. As he lost custody of Prince in September, he voluntarily sought treatment to quit consuming marijuana. Martin frequently pays respect to Carter on social media.
