Reese Witherspoon, the acclaimed Hollywood actress, and her husband, talent agent Jim Toth, have officially decided to split up. The estranged couple announced their divorce on March 24, Friday, only a few days before their 12th wedding anniversary.
According to the most recent reports, the Oscar winner and her spouse divorced peacefully and remain close friends. Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are apparently planning to continue co-parenting their 10-year-old son Tennessee James.
With an official statement, the acclaimed actress and talent agency took to their respective official Instagram profiles and revealed their decision to separate ways. Her post read, “We have some personal news to share... It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," they said. "We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together”
Her post further read, “Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time.”

After her breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal, the popular actress met the talent agency. In December 2010, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth confirmed their engagement. Later, in March 2011, they married on her estate in Ojai, California. Tennessee James, the couple's first child, was born in 2013. Reese has two older children with her ex-husband, a daughter named Ava and a son named Deacon.
