On Friday, November 3, Matthew Perry was laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. The cemetery is located just across from Warner Bros Studios, where the classic sitcom Friends was filmed for ten years. Perry's burial was held privately, with close friends and family in attendance, including his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox. Perry's stepfather was also in attendance for the funeral. The late '17 Again' star was laid to rest beside some of Hollywood's most famous actors, including Paul Walker (Fast & Furious) and Carrie Fisher (Star Wars).

Walt Disney, Stan Laurel of Laurel & Hardy, Debbie Reynolds, Bette Davis, who was once one of the highest-paid women in the US, Willie Garson (Sex And The City), Lee Van Cleef (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly), and Anne Heche (Psycho) are also buried at the iconic Hollywood cemetery. Although popularity is not required for burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, it is mostly frequented by late actors, musicians, and other renowned persons. According to Fox, the legendary resting spot has a high price tag of roughly $6,800.

After Peter Gabriel's 1986 single Don't Give Up featuring Kate Bush was played at the conclusion of Perry's burial, his loved ones were moved to tears. According to a DailyMail source, the song's heartfelt lyrics struck their hearts. "There wasn't a dry eye in there," the publication said. There were many tears and laughs. Only close family and friends spoke." The song's well-known lyrics include the following: "Don't give up, 'Cause you have friends, Don't give up, You're not the only one, Don't give up, No reason to be ashamed, Don't give up, You still have us."
