Two powerhouses, Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix will unite on the screen to bring the ‘Joker’ sequel to the audience. The casting is out of this world, to say the least. After the first film’s success, it is hard to imagine any other actor being cast for the sequel apart from Phoenix. The star gave the whole audience chills with his performance. Coming to his co-star Lady Gaga, after her iconic work in ‘House of Gucci’, the artist will definitely elevate the character she is given.

For the DC fans who are wondering if Lady Gaga is given Harley Quinn will she be the right fit? Here are some details to keep in mind. First Gaga has previously worked in season five of the ‘American Horror Story’ as the character Countess. Her terrifying character even won her a Golden Globe. Secondly, the film is reported to be a musical and who better than a Grammy-winning singer? Coming to the teaser shared, the short video revealed the title of the film "Joker: Folie à Deux" and the lead actors' names. The music of the teaser was Cheek to Cheek by Louis Armstrong. Earlier during a set, Gaga covered this song with legendary singer Tony Bennet.

The teaser shared too little but did reveal the release date which is October 4, 2024. The makers of the film have not made any official announcement about Gaga being Harley Quinn in the sequel. Though the speculation is not far off as the teaser showed a silhouette of the leads together in what appeared to be a dance step.
