Hollywood Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino slams Marvel, calls it ‘Marvel’ization Of Hollywood’, click here to know why?

Marvel and its stars have received criticism from Quentin Tarantino. This time, the celebrated director talked about how Hollywood no longer produces cinematic stars. According to Tarantino, the MCU's popularity is a major factor in this.

A well-known director has already criticised the studio that makes superhero movies. Francis Ford Copolla and Martin Scorsese have also already jumped on board. They have contended that it is "not cinema" and that the studios follow a single model and consistently produce the same movies.

Other people, like Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the Scarlet Witch, and many more have defended the studios. Now, Marvel is the subject of a comment from Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino. Quentin stated, "Part of the Marvelization of Hollywood is you have all these actors who have become famous playing these roles," during an appearance on the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast.

“But they’re not movie stars. Captain America is the star. Thor is the star. It’s these franchise characters that become a star,” Quentin said. He further added, “They’re the only things that seem to generate any kind of excitement amongst a fan base or even for the studio making them. And so it’s just the fact that they are the entire representation of this era of movies right now. There’s not really much room for anything else. That’s my problem.”

Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings star took to Twitter to address the criticism the studios had received from all the eminent directors at the same time Tarantino was discussing his difficulties with Marvel.

Simu Liu stated: “If the only gatekeepers to movie stardom came from Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese, I would never have had the opportunity to lead a $400 million plus movie. I am in awe of their filmmaking genius. They are transcendent auteurs. But they don’t get to point their nose at me or anyone.”
