Director Destin Daniel Cretton, known for films like Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, has been finalised to helm Avengers: The Kang Dynasty; one of two flicks announced officially during the Marvel Studios Panel at San Diego Comic Con.
While the starcast and the writer for the film are yet to be finalised, the director's announcement as the director of the film has generated a lot of buzz regarding the much-awaited film.
From the Marvel Studios Panel at San Diego Comic Con, it has been learnt that the Avengers are assembling once again, with back-to-back movies set for 2025.
Notably, Marvel, which will conclude Phase 4 with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in November this year, has been slowly hiring directors for its next set of films under phases 5 and 6.
Interestingly, Destin Daniel Cretton is also reportedly looking into a Wonder Man series for Disney+ with Andrew Guest.
Cretton, who shot to instant fame with Just Mercy and Short Term 12, has a contract with Marvel.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is slated for release on 02 May 2025.
