Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth has announced that he has wrapped up filming the much-anticipated sequel to his globally successful action film Extraction 2 (2020).
The actor, who has several successful films to his credit, reprises his role of Tyler Rake in the sequel after revealing last year that his character did not die at the end of the 2020 movie.
The 38-year-old Australian actor took to his Instagram handle to share the news of wrapping up the sequel.
“That’s a wrap! Another Extraction film down. Shaping up to be an epic franchise which has only been possible with the blood, sweat, tears and passion of our amazing cast and crew. Massive thankful to everyone who has been with us through this journey and cheers to many more, much love team. Can't wait for you all to see this one! netflix samhargrave therussobrothers #extraction2,” he wrote alongside a video from the film's set.
Sam Hargrave, who also helmed the first part, is directing the sequel. Joe and Anthony Russo return as producers.
Extraction, which premiered on Netflix in April 2020, turned out to be a massive success. In addition to Hemsworth, the mega-budgeted film also featured a number of Indian actors, including Randeep Hooda, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, and Priyanshu Painyuli.
There is no official release date for Extraction 2.
