As a group, BTS enjoys massive popularity almost in every nook and corner of the world, but every bandmate has their own fan following. Jin is one of the most popular members of the group who recently joined Vogue Korea for a fun-filled conversation and opened up a lot of things, including his life philosophy. For the uninitiated, BTS is going to grace the popular magazine’s January 2022 issue.
Talking about what he usually does on his days off, Jin said that he likes wasting time on days when he is not working, spending hours gaming, spacing out, checking his phone, or mindlessly watching TV. “Some might call it pathetic, but I am someone who does whatever I feel like,” he said.
“I am someone who believes in the usefulness of uselessness. You need to have days that some people might call useless in order to focus better on the days where you do useful things,” he added.
Jin said that he does not like when “the atmosphere starts to feel too serious”. “I don’t like it when the atmosphere gets serious. When the atmosphere starts to feel too serious, I try to lighten things up.”
When asked why he hates it when things feel too serious, he said, “Because it’s no fun. It’s the same whether I am doing an interview or chatting with my friends.”
He added, “Of course, I am serious about work. But aside from when I am on stage, I spend about 80 to 90 percent of the time joking around. I think having fun is one of the things that makes it possible for me to work without getting burned out.”
Stay tuned for more updates.
