In terms of sales week, Jungkook's album Golden has officially become the best-selling album by a solo Korean artist in Billboard 200 history. He achieved this after matching the performances of his other bandmates—BTS' V's Layover, Jimin's Face, and Suga's D-Day—as the highest-charting albums by Korean soloists in Billboard 200 history.
Standing Next to You by Golden debuted at number one on YouTube's Top Songs Global Chart on November 12 with 41 million streams. At the same time, it took the lead in the music video category, with around 28 million views (at the time of writing). With this song, Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist to reach #1 on the Top Songs Chart.
Jungkook is known as the Billboard singer, but it appears like he may soon be known as the Spotify singer as well. Standing Next to You, Seven, 3D, Yes or No, Too Much, Please Don't Change, and Hate You are just a few of the tracks from his first album that are now trending on Global Spotify's top 200 list. The album broke the record for the highest launch week for an Asian soloist album on the worldwide Spotify Weekly rankings.
Jungkook had just performed an impromptu version of his song Yes or No in Times Square the day before. The song has since gone viral on TikTok, with over 60,000 video remixes.
Jungkook's all-English debut album sold more copies in its first day and week than any other solo album in history. On the day of its release, the album sold over two million copies. It also sold an astounding 2,438,483 copies in only a week, making it the best-selling soloist album of all time.
