Brace yourselves, Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has arrived in India! You lack out of words when you witness a magnificent movie like Infinity War, and that’s what is happening with us. But, there’s a lot more to it. Keeping aside how great the movie is and what a marvellous cinematic experience it provides, let us talk about the numbers. The movie released across India today, but the advance booking started from last Sunday, and till date, it has collected an unbelievable amount of Rs. 29 crores. That’s right, 29 crores before the film’s actual release. The tickets were available from windows and via online platforms. Online ticketing company, Book My Show, has alone sold more than 1 million tickets, which is a record in itself.

"To effectively reach out to them, we joined forces with Disney India to combine our digital efforts and together developed a deeper understanding of consumer buying behaviour and purchase patterns, allowing us to achieve remarkable results," Marzdi Kalianiwala, Vice President-Marketing and Business Intelligence, Book My Show, said in a statement to IANS.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the movie brings 22 superheroes to fight against the supervillain, Thanos, and it will be continued with part 2, which will come out in 2019.

Released in 2000 screens across India, Infinity War seems set to surpass every other record held by previous Hollywood releases in the country.
