It’s a dream come true for the kids who belong to 90’s era! Hollywood, especially Disney films, seems to have caught up with the trend to remake their old animated films into a live-action version of it. And since their The Beauty and The Beast earned well at the box office while fans loved it, then studio must be saying, ‘Why not!’ The news of Disney will be making a live adaptation of their classic, Aladdin, sent a wave of excitement. And since eager fans were wondering who will be the cast of the film, Will Smith shared a picture of himself and cast mates of Aladdin! And we are happy that the dream thing is finally happening!

As per the above picture and what information we’ve got so far, Will Smith will be playing Genie, which seems the right choice for the studio as most of the targeted audience will be familiar with and he could easily win the audience with his comic timing in the film. Other castings like Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, all of them are relevantly new faces which could work like a charm. There are other actors who are cast for the film like Navid Negahban, Billy Magnussen, Numan Acar and Nasim Pedrad.

The film will be directed by Sherlock Holms director Guy Ritchie! Soulful background score was one of the USP of Aladdin and hence Disney roped in academy award-winning composer Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice who composed background score for The Lion King.
