Bhumi Pednekar made her Bollywood debut with the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) opposite Ayushman Khurana and hasn't looked back ever since. She had always been very particular with her choice of movies and went on to do films that tackle social issues such as Toilet- Ek Prem Katha (2017), Shubh Mangal Savdhaan (2017), Bala (2019) and many more. The actress is gearing up for her next release, Badhaai Do opposite Rajkummar Rao which is yet another movie with a social message. Apart from her superb acting skills, the actress has got a fashion quotient and doesn't fail to serve jaw dropping looks.
Pednekar was recently spotted donning a sheer customised saree for Badhaai Do promotions and it has become the talk of the town. She sported a sheer white saree by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The saree had a white border and personalised text in South Indian language embroidered with crimson threads. Pairing the outfit with a sleeveless blouse, the actress looked lovely and poised. A classic nude makeup look and curled treeses beautifully complimented her outfit. Minimal diamond studs and a matching bracelet finished off her look.
Meanwhile, Bhumi will be enacting the role of a homosexual in her upcoming film, Badhaai Do. In an interview with ANI, Pedenkar revealed why she chose to do the film. She revealed that the film is set to be an eye-opener for the people of the country.
“I’m really proud that content filmmakers, making differential and clutter-breaking subjects, feel I can help a project that is unique and bring their vision to life. I thrive on pushing myself constantly and my decision to do Badhaai Do was based on the fact that I get to sensitively portray a character and give voice to a subject that will be an eye-opener for India,” said Bhumi.
