    Smita Jaykar Biography

    Smita Jaykar is a well known character actress working in Hindi films, Tv serials as well as Marathi films and TV serials. She mainly plays the role of Hero or Heroine's mother or plays supporting roles in the TV serials and movies.

    She was born in Thakurdwar neighborhood in Mumbai. She hails from a Maharashtrian family. Her husband is Mohan Jaykar, son of famous lawyer M.R. Jaykar. Smita is well known for her roles in Marathi theatre, films, TV serials, Hindi TV serials and films. Some of the films in which Smita has played the supporting roles are 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', 'Baabul, 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' ,'Taxi No. 9211' ,'Devdas' ,'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein' ,'Raju Chacha' ,'Astitva' ,'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' ,'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' ,'Sarfarosh' ,'Pardes' etc.
