Simple Kapadia Biography

The late Simple Kapadia, was born on 15th Aug 1958. The 5 feet 3 inches tall actress-designer passed away on 10th Nov 2009 in Mumbai, due to cancer.

Career as a Bollywood actress
Simple was first seen in the film Anurodh (1977) with Rajesh Khanna and Vinod Mehra.

She played a small role in the love story Ahsaas (1979).

she acted with Dev Anand in Lootmaar (1980) and Man Pasand (1980).

Simple appeared with Raj Babbar in Dulha Bikta Hai (1982), a movie that looked closely at the dowry system in the Indian society .

She was besides a part of the family play Pyaar Ke Do Pal (1986).

In 1984 she acted in Chetan Anand's Hum Rahe Na Hum. This was her last movie as an actress.

Costume Designer :
The first movie that Simple was involved with as the Costume Designer was Insaaf (1987). Afterwards she went a part of movies like Shehzaade (1989), Lekin... (1990), Darr (1993), Rudaali (1993), Barsaat (1995), Ghatak : Lethal (1996), Jaan (1996), Chachi 420 (1998), Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998), Kasam (2001), Socha Na Tha (2005), Gafla (2006) and more.
