Shaad Ali Biography

Shaad Ali is the famous director of Bollywood.His parents are Muzzafar Ali and Subhashini Ali both are politicians and the member of the Marxist Communist Party of India. Azad hind Fauj Commander Lakshmi Sehgal was his grandmother. He went to Welham Boys School and then Lawrence School in Sanawar.

Shaad Ali began his career by assisting veteran director Mani Ratnam in 'Dil Se' in 1998. Then he debuted as a director in the film 'Saathiya starring Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukherjee. The film was a hit and Shaad Ali established himself in the industry. His second film was 'Bunty Aur Babli in 2005 starring Amitabh Bachchan ,Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee. It was also a huge success at the box office.

Shaad Ali's third was 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' with Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan, Lara Dutta and Bobby Deol. It could not do well at the box office. He worked as an assistant director for the films like 'Dil Se','Guru' and 'Raavana'. His upcoming film is 'Kill Dil' starring Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar.
