Sanaya Irani Biography

Sanaya Irani is a very famous face on small screen of television. The actress rose to fame after performing roles in serials like 'Left Right Left' and 'Miley Jab Hum Tum'. Khushi Gupta was the character recently essayed by Sanaya Irani in the television serial 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?'. The bubbly actress was born on September 17, 1983 in Mumbai. She finished her schooling in Ooty and attained her degree from Sydenham College in Mumbai.

The elegant lady bagged awards for her performance on television. In the year 2008, Indian Television Academy Awards praised Sanaya for her performance in the serial 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' by awarding her as 'ITA Fresh Face of the Year'. She received Star Parivar Awards for 'Favorite Jodi' in the serial 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' with Barun Sobti in 2012. In the same year, Sanaya won the title of 'Favorite International Jodi' with Barun Sobti in the serial 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?'.

Boman Irani, who is now a Bollywood actor, made the portfolio for Sanaya Irani before some years. At that time, Boman was a photographer. Sanaya commenced her modeling career with that portfolio. In the early phase of her career, Sanaya was seen in various advertisements, such as Reliance, Airtel and Pepsi. Sanaya got a chance to perform with Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Sanaya Irani made her music album debut with music video 'Tumko Dekha To Yeh' by Jagjit Singh. The year 2006 saw Sanaya debuting on silver screen with the Yash Raj Films movie 'Fanaa'. Cute Sanaya portrayed the role of 'Bobo', who is a friend of the female lead in the film.

In television serial 'Left Right Left' on SAB TV, Sanaya was seen as a newly joined cadet, named as 'Sameera'. Followed by this, Sanaya showed her darker side in another TV opera on Imagine TV named as 'Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi'.

Eventually, the young lady grabbed the role of protagonist in serial 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' on Star One channel. Sanaya played the host of television dance reality show 'Zara Nachke Dikha' (Season 2) on Star Plus, alongside Mohit Sehgal. The beauty was once again seen in female protagonist's role in the serial 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?'. This serial proved to be all time famous television show. Sanaya became so popular after playing this role, that she even formed her fan base abroad.

Sanaya participated in a television show hosted by Ram Kapoor, named as 'Welcome - Baazi Mehmaan-Nawaazi Ki'. 'Ishq Wala Love' was the television show of which Sanaya hosted Valentine's Day special episode alongside Karan Grover.

Presently, the charismatic Sanaya is essaying the role of a modern and lively girl in the new serial named as 'Chhan Chhan' on Sony TV.
