Pooja Kumar Biography

A new talent in the B-Town Pooja Kumar originates from the USA. She is an American model, television hostess , a producer and an actress. Stunning and confident Pooja was crowned as the Miss India USA . She is working on Channel V as a VJ. She is also working as a newsreader in the show named as Namaste America.

Born on 4th February 1977 , beautiful Pooja has a deep connection with India. Her father is originally from Dehradun and her mother is a former resident of Nawab's city Lucknow. But she was born in Missiouri's city St. Louis and has completed her graduation from the famous Washington University. She possesses a dual degree in political science and finance. She is also a trained dancer of Bharatnatyam , Kathak and Kuchipudi. The talented actress's youngest sibling Paraag Kumar is also a model.

Pooja made her debut in the film industry with a Tamil film named 'Kadhal Rojave' and later she has worked in numerous English and Tamil films. She also has produced various short films and regular films for which she has gained a critical acclaim and awards in the film festivals. In parallel, she works in the TV commercials too. She has made a cameo as Peshto in Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra's much liked film 'Anjaana Anjaani'.

Currently she is looking forward for her new flick 'Vishwaroop' starring the great actor Kamal Haasan.
