Pooja Bedi is an ex-actress in Bollywood industry in India. She was the host for television talk shows. Pooja is the daughter of international actor Kabir Bedi and late Indian classical dancer .The mother of Pooja Bedi was internationally acclaimed. Pooja was born on 11 May 1970 in Mumbai. She was brought up in a modern atmosphere at home.

This talented artist completed her initial education at Mumbai-based Besant Montessori and the later part she did from Lawrence School at Sanawar. Pooja has been an all-rounder in her childhood days, by being a class topper as well as she was excellent in basketball, hockey, theatre, swimming, and debating. Signing the School Book oh Honour was the privilege received by Pooja Bedi in her school. She has been from a consistent bright student category. The immensely intelligent Pooja is also fond of chess, water sports, reading and travelling.

Pooja Bedi is married to Farhan Furniturewala, whom she met in 1990 for the first time and tied the knot in 1994. Pooja and Farhan are having two children, a daughter - Aalia, who was born in 1997 and a son - Omar born in 2000. The couple had a split in 2002.

The vivacious Pooja performed plays like 'Wow What a Girl''Carry On Papa' and 'A Bengali Jatra'. She got her first film opportunity in 1991 in the movie 'Vishkanya' with Jag Mundhra. Her role in the movie 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' with Aamir Khan was praised and she even achieved a nomination for the Best Supporting Actress category in Filmfare Awards in 1993. This girl with bright facial features also appeared in the other movies like 'Lootere' in 1993, 'Aatank Hi Aatank' in 1995 and 'Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee '. Pooja Bedi also showcased her acting skills in two Telugu films, such as 'Shakti' and 'Chittemma Mogudu' as a supporting actress.

Pooja Bedi has also been a part of Indian television in dance reality shows 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' and 'Big Boss 5' as a participant. She was also seen as a participant in two more television reality shows - Nach Baliye 3 on Star Plus and Khantron Ke Khiladi on Colors channel. Pooja was the host of Saturday Special episode of Big Boss 2, in which the lady interviewed the contestants, who were evicted.

Pooja, who is an eclectic mix of talent, also hosted 'Just Pooja' on Zoom channel - a celebrity talk show. The show was formerly known as 'Not Just Page 3'. In 2010, Sony channel launched a reality show named as 'Maa Exchange'. Pooja was a participant for this show, which was Indian version of abroad television show titled 'Wife Swap'.

Pooja Bedi appeared in various television commercials, such as Frooti, Kaya Skin Clinic, etc.

The multi-faceted Pooja is the Chairperson for 'The Grassroots Foundation' - a charitable organization. The organization aims at education, poverty housing, farming reforms, livelihood skills programs, and water harvesting.
