Mahi Gill Biography

Beauty with talent,Paro from 'Dev D' , Mahi Gill is a fresh face in the tinsel town. Born on 19th December 1975 in Chandigarh in a Sikh family, Mahi is a hard core Punjabi girl. She is well educated too. She has done her Masters in Theatres from Punjab University in Chandigarh and started her career with Punjabi films.

Mahi had a liking towards acting since her childhood only, that's why she took a master's degree in it. Her debut film is 'Hawayein' which is a Punjabi film. Veteran director Anurag Kashyap saw her in that film and later at a party and finalized her to play the role of Paro in his movie 'Dev D'. She has also acted in Ram Gopal Varma's 'Not A Love Story' which was based on a true murder case. She got more fame and fan following through the film 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' along with Randeep Hooda and Jimmy Shergill. She got a nomination too for this film. She has played Pan Singh Tomar's wife in the film 'Paan Singh Tomar' starring Irrfan Khan. The film is based on the true story of an athlete.

The talented actress Mahi has played cameos too in her acting career. She was a part of the blockbusters 'Dabangg' and 'Dabangg 2' . She has also acted in the films 'Gulaal','Khoya Khoya Chand','Aage Se Right','Utt Pataang' etc. Meanwhile she is doing a lot of Punjabi films too.

Currently she is busy in her next release 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns' along with Randeep Hooda and Jimmy Shergill and two Punjabi projects.
