Katrina Kaif Biography

Looking like a Barbie doll and at the same time carrying a tag of 'sexy' both things are comfortable for Katrina the Barbie doll of B-town. Katrina Kaif, the most sexy women in India carries the towering height of 5'8 and a figure of an hourglass which every woman dreams of. Elegant and beautiful Katrina was born in Hong Kong on 16th July, 1984. Her father Mohammad Kaif is from Kashmir, India and her mother Suzanne Turquotte is English. However both her parents are British citizens. She was very young when her parents decided to take divorce. Beautiful Katrina has seven siblings and all of them were raised in Hawaii. But after some years she and her family shifted to England.

Gorgeous Katrina started doing modeling assignments in Hawaii when she was just 14 years old. She was first appeared in a jewelry advertisement. After moving to England, she continued to do modeling assignments, commercial advertisements and even walked on the ramp in the fashion weeks. When Katrina was busy doing modeling assignments, director Kaizad Gustad spotted her and gave her a chance in his film 'Boom' (2003) which had the star cast like Amitabh Bachchan,Gulshan Grover etc. The film could not do well at the box office and Katrina too got a negative comments from critics for her not being proficient in Hindi. She did not mind that and acted in a Telugu films like 'Malliswari' and 'Allari Pidugu'.

She made a comeback in Bollywood in the year 2005 by doing films like 'Sarkar' and 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya'. Both got moderate success at the box office and Katrina got a positive response from the B-town this time. She was paired with Akshay Kumar in many films later and their pair is still considered as a hit pair in the Hindi film industry. Her films in 2007 like 'Namastey London' ,'Apne','Partner' and 'Welcome' were successful at the box office and people started calling her hit and hot Katrina Kaif. People started considering her as one of the successful actresses of the Bollywood. This year really turned her around.

In the year of 2008, we saw her in the blockbusters like 'Race' and 'Singh Is Kinng' in which her performance was much appreciated. Her thriller drama 'New York' with Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham was a success at the box office. Now people started seeing the actress in Katrina. Till then she was considered as a mere show doll. Her 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' with Ranbir Kapoor and 'De Dana Dan' with Akshay Kumar, both were appreciated by the B-town.

But she got a real fame through Prakash Jha's political thriller 'Raajneeti' where she was paired with Ranbir Kapoor. Both her performance and the film got a critical acclaim. After doing 'Tees Maar Khan' with Akshay Kumar, people gave Katrina a different name as Sheila. Her peppy item number 'Sheila ki Jawani' rocked the floors.

In the year of 2011, people saw Katrina's beautiful performance in 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Mere brother ki Dulhan'. She gave a fabulous performance in both the films which were successful at the box office.

2012 again gave Katrina a different name as 'Chikni Chameli' as her sizzling item number in the film 'Agneepath' was a huge hit. Recently she was seen in the films 'Ek tha Tiger' opposite Salman Khan and 'Jab Tak hai Jaan' opposite Shah Rukh Khan.In her acting career, Katrina has done many stage shows and performances at many events. She has received many awards and nominations for her films.

Currently Katrina is busy in her next film 'Dhoom 3' with Mr. Perfect Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. Her next film will be 'Bang Bang' with Hrithik Roshan.
