Kanwaljeet Singh is a famous actor who appears in supporting roles in many films. Kanwaljeet Singh is a well known face on the big screen as well as small screen. The good looking actor born on 19 September, 1951 hails from a traditional Sikh family of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. He holds a bachelors degree. After completing his graduation, he shifted to Pune and joined the famous Film and Television Institute Of India.

Kanwaljeet Singh made his debut with the film named 'Dastan-E-Laila Majnu'. Then he was seen in the film 'Hum Rahe Na Hum'. The film was made by Vijay Anand. Then he appeared in Ketan Anand's two films 'Shart' and 'Shaque'. He was also starred in a multistarer film 'Ashanti' where he got an opportunity to star with beauty queen Zeenat Aman. Both of Kanwaljeet's films heavily bombed at the box office.

After his failures on the big screen, Kanwaljeet Singh shifted to the small screen. He played the role of Satbir in a mega serial by Ramesh Sippy named 'Buniyaad'. The role gave him an instant recognition. The talented actor was then flooded with many opportunities. But the choosy and sensible actor chose wisely. He appeared in small , few but meaningful roles. Over the years, he was seen in the serials like 'Family No. 1', 'Saans', 'Dard Siski' , 'Captain House' ,'Buniyaad' ,'Andaz' ,'Bhabhi Maa' ,'Aisa Des Hai Mera' ,'Naam Gum Jayega' ,'Bajega Band Baaja' ,'Sabki Laadli Bebo' ,'Farmaan', 'Daraar' and to name a few.

The skilled performer was also featured in some of Harbhajan Mann's Punjabi movies. Some of the Punjabi movies in which Kanwaljeet Singh showcased his acting skills are 'Jee Aayan Nu' ,'Dil Apna Punjabi' ,'Mannat' , 'Mitti Wajaan Maardi', 'Mera Pind' , 'Ik Kudi Punjab Di'.

The talented actor is married to famous actress Anuradha Patel and the couple has two sons named Siddharth and Aditya and a daughter named Mariam.
