Chunky Pandey Biography

Chunky Pandey or Chunky Pandey aka Chunky Pandey is a famous Bollywood actor. He took a screen name as Chunky. He was born on 26th September 1962 in Mumbai. Till date, Chunky has appeared in more than 55 films in his career. He is contributing to the film industry since two decades. Chunky has been nominated as the best actor in supporting role for his performance in 'Tezaab' a 1988 film starring Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor.

Chunky made his debut in Bollywood with the film 'Aag Hi Aag' with Neelam. After that he has appeared in many multi starer films which were successful. Chunky could not prove himself as a main protagonist in Bollywood as his films as a main lead did not perform well at the box office. But soon he shifted to Bangladeshi Cinema and became successful there. Almost all of his Bangladeshi films are hit. His Indian film 'Parda Hai Parda' was successful but he is mostly recognized as a supporting hero. All his films are entertaining and power packed.

Chunky has acted in a pair with many Bollywood stars like Govinda and Sunny Deol. His films like 'Aankhen' ,'Vishwatma' , 'Paap ki Duniya' and 'Lootere' were box office hits. But the onset of actors like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar in Bollywood made Chunky's style outdated and his career started fading away. He then concentrated on Bangladeshi films and achieved a stardom there.

He reappeared in Hindi cinema with the films like 'Qayamat' ,'Don - The Chase Begins Again' , 'D' etc. His portrayal of an underworld don helped him in gaining the necessary praise from the film critics. He got a good roles in the films like 'Housefull 2' and 'Apna Sapna Money Money'. His character of Aakhiri Pasta in 'Housefull' became a hit as Chunky has a funny bone and a perfect comic timing. He again appeared in 'Housefull 2' to make people laugh.

Some of the films in which Chunky has appeared are 'Fool N Final' ,'I See You' ,'Hello Darling' ,'Short Kut - The Con Is On', 'Daddy Cool' ,'De Dana Dan' ,'Click' ,'Tees Maar Khan' , 'Rascals' ,'Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum' and 'Race 2'. He will be next seen in 'Ishaan' and 'Bullet Raja'.

He is married to Bhavna and the couple has two daughters. Chunky is owner of an event management company 'Bollywood Electric' famous for hosting stage shows. He also owns one health food restaurant along with wife Bhavna in Mumbai.
