Cute and charming Ayesha Takia Azmi is an actress of Hindi Film Industry. Ayesha is among those few actresses who had immense talent but is unlucky for not getting the right opportunity.

Ayesha was born on 10th April 1986 to a Gujarati Father Nishit and Mother Faridah, an Anglo-Indian Muslim. She has a younger sister Natasha. She is married to Farhan Azmi who is a Restaurateur. Samajwadi Party Leader Abu Asim Azmi is her Father-In-law. Ayesha did her schooling from the St. Anthony High School, but seldom went to college because she started to work since she was fifteen. Ayesha did her first ad at the age of four and since then she dreamt of becoming an actress. She also featured in a 'Complan' ad Campaign along with Shahid Kapoor where they played Complan Girl and Complan Boy. She did her first music video 'Meri Chunar Udd Udd jaye' of Singer Falguni Pathak at the age of fifteen. She featured in another video song 'Shake It Daddy' at sixteen. Ayesha grew up speaking English at her home and learned Fluent Hindi and Telugu after entering respective industries.

She signed her first movie 'Socha Na Tha' opposite Abhay Deol and then 'Taarzan - The Wonder Car' but the delay in the making of the former movie let later to be her first release. She won the Best Filmfare debut in the same. After that she appeared in a few movies but they could not do much for her. Although she got some notice in 'Dil Maange More' and 'Shaadi No. 1'. She entered Tollywood in 2006 from the movie 'Robbery'. In the same year she bounced back with Nagesh Kukunoor's 'Dor' where she successfully essayed a strong role of a widowed daughter-in-law. She gained much appreciation for her role. She won the Screen Award for Best Actress (Critics' choice). She was seen in 2007 multi-starrer 'Salaam-E-Ishq', Rohit Shetty's 'Sunday' (2008), Nagesh Kukunoor's '8 x 10 Tasveer' (2009). Her 2009 movie 'Wanted' opposite Salman Khan was a blockbuster. She recently debuted as an Anchor for a Music-Reality show 'Sur kshetra'. Ayesha loves chatting with fans and is a familiar face on Twitter which she also uses to voice her opinions.
