    Abhishek Kapoor Biography

    Abhishek Kapoor is a Writer-director of Bollywood, widely known as the 'Rock On' director. Abhishek started his career in Bollywood as an actor. His debut movie was 'Uf Yeh Mohabbat' (1996), where he acted with Twinkle Khanna. After doing 3 films as an actor Abhishek decided to take on Direction with his first directorial 'Aryan'. The movie could not perform well at the box office in spite of getting some positive reviews.

    But it was his 2008 written and directed movie 'Rock On' which took him to the heights. The film was considered as of international standard. It got a Filmfare Award for Best Story and many more awards. The movie was inspired from his own life. Abhishek seems to be smitten by the idea of making movies about friendship as his next is also on the similar lines. 'Kai Po Che' is a story of three friends and is based on the Novel 'The Three Mistakes of My Live' written by Chetan Bhagat.
