Week 3 collection of ‘Fukrey Returns’ is out and the movie is still minting money!

‘Fukrey Returns’, the year’s last comedy film, did a great business in the first 2 weeks and emerged as superhit. In its two weeks’ run, the movie collected Rs. 73.81 crores and turned out to be the third most profitable film of 2017. But the challenge came in its third week when it faced Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ at the box office. Despite having a massive release ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ in the competition, Fukrey Returns earned a respectable amount of Rs. 3.59 crores in its week 3 and took the grand total to Rs. 77.40 crores. The week 3 collection of the movie is as follows: Fri 40 lakhs, Sat 62 lakhs, Sun 79 lakhs, Mon 71 lakhs, Tue 37 lakhs, Wed 36 lakhs, Thu 34 lakhs. Total: Rs. 77.40 cr.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, ‘Fukrey Returns’ has another weekend to pocket more money and to stretch the total to 80-85 crores. The movie was made on an overall budget of 30 crores and till date, it made a profit of more than 258 %. The quirky comedy, which now has turned as a commercial franchise, was made under Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s banner, Excel Entertainment, and it stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadda, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
