Week 2 BoxOffice: Bareilly Ki Barfi Stays Sturdy Despite New Releases!

Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s directorial Bareilly Ki Barfi has proven to be a sleeper hit of this season. The movie has been receiving positive reviews from the critics and the audience. The industry insiders who saw the film also did not fail to show their love for the film on social media and praised the lead stars Ayushman Khurana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao. Kriti Sanon also received a hand-written note from the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan which is a big deal for any young actor.

The movie remained steady in the second week despite new releases. It made Rs. 1.15 crores on Friday, Rs. 1.75 crores on Saturday, and Rs. 2.30 cores on Sunday (Weekend 2). It further made Rs. 75 lakhs on Monday, Rs. 75 lakhs on Tuesday, Rs. 85 lakhs on Wednesday and Rs. 75 lakhs on Thursday at the domestic box-office during the second week. Hence, the film’s total collection stands at Rs. 27.02 crores which is decent for any small budget film.

The quirky storyline is appreciated along with the performances of the star cast. The film may touch the 30 crores mark if it remains consistent in the coming days.
