Suresh Triveni ’s film Tumhari Sulu is one of the small packet big dhamaka films of 2017. This year many small films proved to be successful thanks to their powerful and unique content. The film has been receiving immense response from the audience and critics alike. It stars Vidya Balan in the title role along with Manav Kaul , Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka in key roles. The movie was made at a tight budget of 17 crores and has recovered majority of it via pre-sales rights. Hence, it is already a hit!

In the first week of its release, the film made Rs. 19.78 crores. It further made Rs. 1.25 cores on second Friday, Rs. 2.35 crores on Saturday and Rs. 2.81 crores on Sunday (Weekend 2). The film collected Rs. 82 lakhs on Monday, Rs.81 lakhs on Tuesday and Rs. Rs.72 lakhs on (Week 2). Hence the total collection stands at Rs. 28.54 crores at the domestic box-office front.
