After ‘ PK ’ and ‘ Dangal ’, Aamir Khan has become such a huge star in China that his films are now capable to outperform even the Hollywood’s big movies. And that’s exactly what happened when his latest film, ‘ Secret Superstar ’ released in Mainland China. Where the Hollywood’s big venture ‘Star Wars: The Last Zedi’ failed to perform in China, ‘Secret Superstar’ emerged as the clear winner. The Zaira Wasim starrer SS, which released two weeks before in the neighbouring country, has out-thrown the western movies and has entered the phenomenal Rs. 500 crores club. That’s right; after the two weeks run; SS has collected humongous $79.42 million which is equal to Rs. 509 crores.

The Chinese trade experts have speculated that the film will collect around 570-580 crores in its lifetime run but looking at the figures so far, we can say that the film can earn 600 crores in the coming weeks. The film till date has collected more than 2 million dollars every single day and if it continues to do the same then it may surely achieve half of what ‘Dangal’ did.

Till date, ‘Dangal’ is the only Hindi film that has collected more than $100 million in overseas markets; will SS become the second film to do so? Let’s just wait and what more surprises the film has to give us.
