Kantara, a gem, continues to enjoy a strong box office performance. Kantara, the most recent film from Rishab Shetty, has been generating a stir in theatres all over the country since its launch last month. The movie, which has shattered multiple box office records and only garnered positive reviews, is the talk of the town. Kantara, a movie by Rishab Shetty, set a record at the box office. It is now only the third Kannada movie in history to earn more than 250 crores worldwide. It has also eclipsed KGF: Chapter 1 to rank as the second-highest-grossing Kannada movie ever in the process.

Kantara started out slowly, but over time it developed quite a buzz through word of mouth and began to make money every single week. According to trade sources, it surpassed the 250 crores threshold for worldwide earnings on Thursday. Its current global earnings are estimated at 251 crore by trade tracker Sacnilk. The lifetime earnings of KGF: Chapter 1 starring Yash were 250 crore, thus this is just a little bit more. KGF: Chapter 2 holds a commanding first-place spot on the list of all-time highest-grossing Kannada movies thanks to its impressive total of 1207 crore.

No matter how successful Kantara becomes going forward, that number is one too high even for this movie. This is nevertheless a significant accomplishment for the movie, which reportedly cost only 15 crores to produce and was not even anticipated to break the 100 crore barrier. Kantara is also one of the top-grossing Indian movies of 2022 across all genres. Behind KGF 2, RRR, Ponniyin Selvan I, Vikram, Brahmastra Part One Shiva, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, it occupies the seventh position on that list.

The traditional culture of Kambla and Bhootha Kola is honored by Kantara through presenting it. Bhoota, a local demigod whose name means "mystical forest," strikes a bargain with a king in 1870 to provide the tribe's people forest land in return for happiness. Years later, when the king's son turns avaricious and seeks the land back, Bhootha kills him in his rage. Rishab is credited with playing the title role. Many people have praised this movie as being his best. Among the cast of Kantara are Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, and Naveen D. Padil.
