Not a good week for some at the Box Office. Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra led Hit: The First Case, which is a remake of an acclaimed Telugu psychological thriller film of the same name and Taapsee Pannu’s Shabaash Mithu, which is the biopic of woman cricketer Mithali Raj were the two prominent releases this week apart from the lesser prominent Judaa Hoke Bhi and Ladki: Enter The Girl Dragon, which was practically non-starters.
‘Hit: the first case’ opened to a low Rs. 1 crore at the Box office. The film is a thriller genre but as it is a remake the climax is well known and the suspense is a formality. The makers are under pressure to make up for the loss before the screens get dominated with the release of a promising ‘Shamshera’.
Similarly, Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Shabaash Mithu’ underperformed too. Having only collected RS. 40 lakhs. The actor is a prominent face in the industry and hence the expectation of a better outcome was there.
Both movies are currently screening in theatres for fans to see.
