Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar Radhe Shyam is set in 1970s Europe following the story of Vikramaditya, a palmist. This film was one of the most awaited projects of Prabhas and fans were expecting much more than it has to deliver. Though the film is appreciated for the actors’ performances and visuals it has received heavy criticism for its screenplay, comedy sequences, visual effects, and narration as a consequence it had to face a huge loss expected to be around Rs. 100 crores plus.
The film certainly saw a poor opening which made it clear that its chances to sustain for more than a week are very less. According to the statistics drop for the film was all over the country, with AP/TS crashing to Rs. 4.75 crores (Rs. 2.10 crores share) on Monday. The four days’ collections in the twin states are Rs. 67.50 crores (Rs. 46.10 crores share) and will likely struggle to go over Rs. 50 crores share in full run. Outside AP/TS the performance was dismal on the weekend itself and the film was a complete washout on Monday.
The box office collections of Radhe Shyam at the Indian box office are as follows:
Friday - Rs. 42 crores
Saturday - Rs. 25.50 crores
Sunday - Rs. 24.50 crores
Monday - Rs. 7.50 crores
Total - Rs. 99.50 crores
