    ' Wazir ' starring Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead released on 8 January, 2016. There was not enough buzz around the film prior to its release, and also, it was not promoted widely. The movie, considering its genre, targeted niche audience. The result was quite predictable, the film made a decent business on its opening Friday, which is Rs. 5.57 crores, and witnessed growth on its first Saturday i.e. Rs 7.16 crores, at the domestic front. The total collection stands at Rs. 12.73 crores.

    The revenge saga has been ideally released without clashing with any other big film and, enjoys the advantages of being a big solo release through its first week, which in turn will profit its collections. The movie also stars Aditi Rao Hydari , Manav Kaul , Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham among others.
