    Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial venture Udta Punjab finally made it to the theatres yesterday i.e. on June 17, 2016, after all the trouble and controversy it had to face. But now, the star cast, and the team of the makers can breathe a sigh of relief as the movie has raked in good numbers on its opening Friday. Despite the online movie leak, the theatres witnessed ample footfalls, which is a very encouraging signal.

    Udta Punjab witnesses a good first day opening box-office collections!

    Udta Punjab raked in Rs. 10.05 crores on its first Friday at the domestic markets. The movie performed very well in the Northern regions, especially in Punjab and Delhi. The film talks about the drug scenario and abuse in the state of Punjab. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in the leads.
