Udta Punjab Box-office Crosses 40 Crores!

The multi starrer drama Udta Punjab finally made it to the theatres on June 17, 2016. The film received rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience. Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial venture raked in Rs. 10.05 crores on Friday, Rs. 11.25 crores on Saturday, Rs. 12.50 crores on Sunday, Rs. 4.50 crores on Monday and Rs. 4 crores on Tuesday. Hence, its total collection stands at Rs. 42.30 crores at the domestic markets.
The movie performed very well in the Northern regions, especially in Punjab and Delhi. The film talks about the drug scenario and abuse in the state of Punjab. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in the leads.
