Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' continues to perform poorly at the box-office. The Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer badly failed to charm the audiences, leaving the makers in huge loss as it was a big budget movie. The second weekend box-office collections of the film 'Bombay Velvet' totals up to Rs. 1.40 crore at the domestic front.
The film is based on Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables' which discloses the love tale of a street fighter and an aspiring jazz singer. The story-line did not appeal to the masses because of its highly urban content. The movie is set in Mumbai of the early 1960s.
