The auspicious day of October 2nd witnessed two major events in happening. First obviously was the celebration of the honorable Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, however the second was the release of the much awaited ' Besharam '.

The comic-action starring Ranbir Kapoor alongside his beloved parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh was hitting the buzz lanes for quite some time, finally peeked out for allurement. As expected and desired through its promotions, Abhinav Kashyap directed was all mocked by the fans on the day one itself. Marking a handsome of 21.56 crores reportedly, the film pumped up the expectation meters high.

But, as soon as the day ended and the reviews came out catering the masses, the loosen up ties were clearly visible. Predicting a fuzzy future ahead, the makers still held the hopes considering a 5 day long commencing week.

However, the trade pandits proved right, and so it was reflected by the second day collection itself. Expecting a lot from the Kapoor trio, the film just clearly disappointed the masses. Even though a great start in the upper north circuits like Delhi and Punjab, day two proved a sheer shame. As the film ran with packed houses on day one pan India, the second day survived breathing hard with a minimum collection of just 7.15 crores approximately.

As we all were expecting that the star power will pull off the flick to at least attend one celebration bast, here the survival itself is meant to be a great leap. Garnering an overall sum of pity 28.71 crores approximately, only a decent weekend collection can safeguard this comic sail from sinking.
