Here’s the first weekend box-office collection of Begum Jaan!

Mixed reviews diluted the aura of the latest film Begum Jaan. Vidya Balan’s strong screen presence helped but, the plot got somewhere diverted into being overly dramatic. As a result the film opened on a low-note on its first day. However, Sunday turned out to a saver, making Begum Jaan cross the mark of 10 crores in its first weekend.
Begum Jaan’s first weekend box-office collection is as follows: On Friday 3.94 crores, Saturday 3.51 crores and Sunday 4.03 crores. Therefore, the total collection is rupees Rs. 11.48 crores in its opening weekend.
Directed by Srijit Mukherji, Begum Jaan also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Guahar Khan and Pallavi Sharda, among other prominent actors.
