Samir Tewari 's directorial venture ' Mr Joe B. Carvalho ' released on January 3. The movie is a detective flick by its genre and featured Arshad Warsi and Soha Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film received a shockingly poor response at the box office and several negative reviews from the critics.

Going by the latest report, ' Mr Joe B. Carvalho ' collected 0.65 crore nett on Friday, while on the second day of release, the film gathered 0.60 crore nett. The total two days collections of the film can be summed up to 1.25 crore nett. Also, the film was hit by almost negative word-of-mouth publicity. Even the songs from the film could not woo the audience and hence, proved a complete washout. With such a low figures, the movie is heading towards a poor weekend. The 3D ' Sholay ', which released on the same day, proved as a tough competitor for the Arshad Warsi starrer. Moreover, the recent release ' Dhoom 3 ' was also there to lock horns with the detective film.

' Mr Joe B. Carvalho 's first week performance at the box office will decide the future fate of the film.
