    First Weekend Box Office Collection of 'Dedh Ishqiya'

    Abhishek Chaubey's directorial 'Dedh Ishqiya' released on January 10. Apart from the film being a good entertainer, it saw a dull response from the audience.

    The sequel of 2010 hit release ' Ishqiya ' arrived with an exclusive title ' Dedh Ishqiya '. The movie directed by Abhishek Chaubey featured Madhuri Dixit , Naseeruddin Shah , Huma Qureshi and Arshad Warsi . With such a powerful starcast, the film was expected to get noticeable response from the audience.

    Though the movie bagged positive reviews from most of the critics, ' Dedh Ishqiya ' apparently failed to witness the expected response from the viewers. In Central India, North region, the film performed at poor rate. Reportedly, the movie collected 03.20 crore nett on Friday, while the Saturday collections of the film are 03.75 crore nett. The first two day collections of the movie are 06.95 crore nett. With a good storyline and great character performances, the film must garner up to 11.50 to 12 crore nett on the first weekend of its release.
