    First Weekend Box Office Collection of 3D 'Sholay'

    The 1975 cult classic 'Sholay' is enlivened on the silver screen in its 3D format. The movie allured the viewers with its new avatar and performed well at the box office.

    After dominating the year 1975 with its magic, the cult classic ' Sholay ' presented itself in 3D format on January 3, 2014. The movie impressed the audience with its 3D format and earned brownie points.

    3D ' Sholay ' is released across 850 screens and witnessed a good hike in figures from its opening day. The film earned 1.50 crore nett on Friday and it is expected to garner around 2.25 crore nett on Saturday, thereby making the total two day collections up to 3.75 crore nett. Amitabh Bachchan , Dharmendra , Hema Malini starrer is gearing up for 5 crore nett plus first weekend of its release.

    Now, the film must retain the grip in order to keep its position intact, as the next Friday will be ruled by two releases, ' Yaariyan ' and ' Dedh Ishqiya '.
