The much-talked about venture ' 2 States ' helmed by Abhishek Varman released on April 18. There were lots of expectations from this youth-centric film, which is based on Chetan Bhagat 's bestseller ' 2 States '. The movie featured fresh lead pair, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt . It also starred other eminent actors in key roles like Amrita Singh , Ronit Roy and Revathy .

' 2 States ' observed great occupancy on the first day of its release and was liked by multiple numbers of audience. The film performed better in multiplexes by collecting 12.42 crore nett on Friday. During Saturday and Sunday, the shows were almost housefull. The Saturday collection of ' 2 States ' was 12.13 crore nett and on Sunday, it raked in 14.10 crore nett, as per the reports. Hence, the first weekend domestic box office collection of the film can be summed up to 38.65 crore nett. Talking about the overseas collection of the film, it garnered 10.25 crore nett, reportedly. So, the total worldwide collection of ' 2 States ' till now is 48.90 crore nett.

The performance of the flick on Monday will decide its fate in the first week of its release.
