Rani Mukherjee shattered the myth of zero-size figure and dabbled the silver screen with her latest release \'Mardaani\'. This directorial by Pradeep Sarkar garnered loads of praises from B-Town personas as well as critics. However, Ajay Devgn starrer \'Singham Returns\' was the tough competitor for this women-centric flick. Rani gamely accepted the challenge of playing fierce cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, who leaves no stone unturned to eradicate the crime from the society and handled the case of human trafficking in the film.
Talking about film\'s performance at the ticket-window, \'Mardaani\' collected 03.46 crore nett on its opening day, while on Saturday, it garnered 04.73 crore nett, reportedly. The Sunday collection of the flick rose to 06.15 crore nett and on Monday, it was slightly low as 02.43 crore nett. \'Mardaani\' raked in 02.55 crore nett on Tuesday and on Wednesday, it collected 02.30 crore nett, as per the report. The film managed to get 02.00 crore nett on Thursday, thereby making its total box office collection up to 23.62 crore nett till Thursday. The film recorded the total overseas collection up to 05.10 crore nett, reportedly. Hence, the total worldwide collection of \'Mardaani\' in the first week of its release can be summed up to 28.72 crore nett.
