First Week Box Office Collection of 'Lootera'

\'Lootera\', the second directorial venture by the director Vikramaditya Motwane, released on July 5, won many hearts with its eternal charm. The period love saga fetched much thumbs ups and acclaim from the masses as well as critics. The terrific word-of-mouth publicity assisted in garnering heightening response at the box office.

Apart from containing excellent storyline and melodious music, \'Lootera\' was also touted for superb character performances by Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. The sizzling chemistry among the duo has worked wonders for the success of the film. Having a glance at hitherto collection of \'Lootera\', it achieved 5.10 crore nett on Friday, on Saturday, it collected 6.30 crore nett, 7.35 crore nett was the collection on Sunday, while on Monday it gained 2.70 crore nett, Tuesday saw 2.5 crore nett making the total domestic collections up to 23.50 crore nett.

As per the reports, \'Lootera\' managed to reach the mark of 4.65 crore nett in terms of its total overseas collections. Hence, the total worldwide collections of this movie are 28.15 crore nett, as of now.

The anticipations about the movie said that the film could have done better in terms of its performance.
